Turkey Soup for ferrets
6 lbs. frozen ground turkey
2-3 cups regular high quality kibble
1 medium to large sweet potato
Place thawed turkey in large pot with water, (only fill about halfway; you can add more water as needed) cover and turn on low medium to medium heat.
Stir frequently to break turkey apart. Add kibble and simmer 2-3 hours still stirring occasionally to make sure turkey gets cooked through.
Add sweet potato, peeled and diced, and cook for another 45 minutes to an hour. Let cool then run through blender until desired smoothness is achieved.
This recipe lasts 6 ferrets about 2 weeks being given daily.
